The WSET supports the Governor's Workforce Cabinet and the Oregon Workforce and Talent development Board (WTDB). The WSET provides criteria for the integration of the workforce system, commits resources for system priorities and makes recommendations to agency leadership on policies, programs and funding priorities. The WSET focusses on efforts that promote the alignment of Oregon's workforce investment, education, and economic development system.

Temporary Continuation of Service Providers
On March 31, 2015, CCWD authorized local workforce boards to to contract, if they so chose, with the existing entities that provide WIA/WIOA funded Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth services without the requirement of a competitive procurement process through June 30, 2016.
